What is Intuitive Painting?

Intuitive painting is an opportunity to explore the inner self through the creative process in a safe, critic free environment. It is not a painting technique or method. Intentional Intuitive Painting is a process of blending intention and intuition. One makes a conscious decision to paint a subject, but the process is guided by intuition (example colors, lines, shapes, symbols, elements). Mediums used mainly includes crayons, acrylics, water colour pencils, water colour, acrylic inks, gouache, paper, marker pens, etc.

The play shops are for all painting levels. There is no prior painting experience necessary. Even if you have never painted or drawn in your life, the sessions will take you beyond your limitations and open you to your powerful creative self. We speak in symbol and metaphor every day whether we know it or not. The session will deepen your understanding of yourself through art.

The Session

In this 2.5-hour playshop, the agenda will be (but not limited to):

• Intro, explanation, settle down to relax

• Creative visualization at each interval of stages & setting intention

• Start drawing & painting (you will be assisted if you need technicality guidance with the mediums that you're not familiar with)

• A light refreshment break in between

• Finish - sign & name your painting, taking ownership of your process

• Show & share, conversations, celebrations & photo taking

KNOW YOURSELF THROUGH ART : An Intuitive Self-Discovery Painting Session

Join visionary artist Elaine Wong for her latest Intentional Intuitive Painting playshop and to hone your intuitive skills, and to cultivate inner expression through art.

In this playful intuitive painting session, we bravely explore our inner creative self through the past, present and future, and discover more about ourselves with what we express on the canvas.

WHAT IS INTUITIVE PAINTING

By nature, we are creative & intuitive beings, capable of creating much more than we often believe. The playshop is designed to harness the power of our creativity through our intention and the intuitive painting process. Mediums used mainly includes crayons, acrylics, water colour pencils, water colour, acrylic inks, gouache, paper, marker pens, etc.

WHAT WILL WE BE DOING
In this 2-hour play shop, we will learn how to access our inner creative intelligence, and to bring it into our conscious playful, creative expression. Different mediums and tools will be used and explored. We’ll use guided visualization, prayerful intention, and intuitive painting as expressive tools to translate our inner wisdom into color, shapes, symbols and form, expressed out through painting.
After the play shop is done, you'll get to take home a piece of meaningful little masterpiece (300gsm, 18x24cm acid free, cold press art paper) which you can frame, or display on your desk as a reminder of the painting's message.

Spend a soul rejuvenating Saturday learning how to daringly paint on your precious leather bag (or faux leather bag) with your very own art!

Date: 26 May, 2018 (Saturday)
Time: 2pm - 5:30pm
Venue: The Hatchery Place (USJ 11, Subang Jaya)
Fee: RM180 per person
Bring your own bag, or add RM40 for a nice faux leather sling bag to paint on.
Limited to 8 participants.
All materials provided, including a mini take-home painting kit.

This workshop is open to beginners and all skill levels. No art training or prior experience required.
