My playshop offers a unique opportunity to tap into your inner creativity and hone your intuitive skills. Together, we will explore the creative process in a safe, critic-free environment. Intuitive painting is not just a painting technique, it's a process of blending intention & intuition.
With my guidance, you'll make a conscious decision to paint a selected theme, but the process will be guided by your intuition. We'll play with different themes and mixed mediums, including acrylics, crayons, ink, pencils and gouache, to create art that reflects your unique voice.
Through guided visualization, prayerful intention, and intuitive process, we'll translate our inner wisdom into color, shapes, symbols, and form. The artwork we make will carry our intentions and serve as a reminder of the painting's message.

The session

Private sessions allow you to choose the theme you would like to paint, while group sessions have a pre-selected theme for everyone to paint together. If a specific theme speaks to you, paint it! Your soul may be guiding you towards embodying these values in your life.

My playshops are held in my studio The Intuitive Art Hideaway, a residential home located in Subang Jaya, Malaysia. To fully prepare for the session, I recommend arriving at least 10 minutes early to allow yourself time to settle in and get into a relaxed state of mind.

First, we'll begin with a warm introduction to get to know each other, followed by an explanation of the process we'll be diving into. Then, it's time to settle down and relax as we immerse ourselves in the practice.

We will engage in creative visualization exercises at each interval of the painting stages to help you tap into your subconscious and bring your innermost visions to life.

You will then begin your artistic journey by drawing and painting, with the option for technical guidance and assistance provided for mediums that you may be unfamiliar with.

Complete your painting by signing and naming it, taking full ownership of your creative process.

I’m Elaine, your intuitive art guide.
I've long held the belief that art can convey healing messages and serve as a medium for exploring infinite possibilities. Painting, is now a way for me to deepen my self-knowledge and connect more intimately with both myself and the universe.
My practice hasn't always been entirely intuitive. When I first started painting intuitively I knew I wanted to express my inner self, my soul, but I didn't really know how to do it properly. “Am I connecting to the right message?” “Is this how it feels like?” “Is it correct?” “Why am I creating a mess?” “Is my soul really speaking to me?” I imagine that you may have similar questions and doubts.
That's why I'm hosting this playshop to share my process for accessing our creative voice within. The playshop has become one of my signature offerings, seamlessly integrated into my art practice with consistently profound insights and breakthroughs.

I support and guide the participant’s intuitive painting process with the chosen theme. I do share some of my painting techniques & tips to help you get through any creative hurdles when asked, but the play shop is not focusing on left-brained skills.

I do not have art therapy training, therefore I’m not an art therapist. I focus on providing strength-based, hope-inducing art directives and do not offer therapy. Unlike art therapy sessions where healings of personal issues are involved, our painting sessions are not that. (Therapy involves working with a therapy professional to resolve problematic behaviours, beliefs, feelings, relationship issues, and/or somatic responses.) I do not facilitate healings nor offering art therapy services. If you are in need of or looking for emotional or mental health support, kindly seek for a therapist that are expert in their field to tend to yourself before joining our play shop. Having said that, painting is a very therapeutic activity. Hence, one person may be in a deeply therapeutic process in the playshop while another is challenging herself to be spontaneous. One person may be painting a dreamscape vision, while someone else might be playing with colours.

You need absolutely NO art experience to benefit tremendously from this playshop. This playshop is the ideal place to take that risk and discover for yourself just how truly creative you really are. It was a journey that was full of fun, introspections, and inspiration. I don’t know how to paint, but through Elaine’s guidance, I was able to enjoy painting (and the paintings were surprisingly pretty good, IMO :p), but more importantly is the process, which allowed me to explore painting in my own terms and also the conversation with Elaine was amazingly inspirational. Would highly recommend to anyone with a curious mind to flow with their intuition throughout the sessions. :)
