Art Stay
A cocoon for becoming an intuitive artist.
A self-directed, process-based art stay in a quiet home studio.
Give yourself some time to paint.
A 30, 60 or 90-day stay at the Intuitive Art Hideaway, centred around intuitive painting, creative exploration and having enough time for your practice to unfold.
30 DAYS · 60 DAYS · 90 DAYS
Not retreat.
Not art residency.
An extended stay for making art.
An Art Stay gives you a place to live, a place to paint, materials to work with, and enough time to develop your own creative rhythm. There is no exhibition to produce, no final body of work to complete and no productivity target waiting at the end.
You are here to paint.
Who Is This For?
If you’re thinking about becoming an intuitive artist but not knowing where to start.
If you’ve been saying "someday I'll paint" and are ready to make that someday now.
If you need a focused container - short or long, to build a real body of work intuitively.
For artists, seekers, and creators who need extended, uninterrupted space to cultivate a daily intuitive painting practice.

What is an Art Stay

What would happen if you gave yourself 30, 60 or 90 days to paint?
The Intuitive Art Stay is a long-term creative stay at my home studio in Subang Jaya, Malaysia, designed for people who want to spend an extended period developing their intuitive painting practice.
This is not an art residency, and there is no exhibition or body of work you are expected to complete by the end of your stay.
Instead, you have the time and space to follow your own creative process, with some structure and companionship along the way.
-
For every 30 days, I provide at least 30 small to medium-sized canvases, basic art tools and your own painting space at the studio.
You can paint every day if you wish, work on one painting for several days, experiment with different approaches, or simply see where your practice takes you.
The intention is not to produce 30 finished paintings. The canvases are there to give you enough material to explore freely without constantly thinking about what you are going to paint on next.

You won't be left entirely on your own.
Each week, we'll have an art check-in where you can share what you've been working on, talk through ideas, ask questions or simply have someone witness your process.
I'll be there as a soundboard, offering perspectives and intuitive art-related guidance when it feels useful.
We'll also have one intuitive painting session together each week, creating some dedicated time to paint alongside each other and explore the practice.
During your stay, we'll also go out together to at least two art events around Kuala Lumpur / Klang Valley. These might be exhibitions, gallery shows, art fairs or other interesting things happening in the local art scene.
The purpose is simply to get out of the studio, look at art, encounter different ideas and gather inspiration.

This is probably the biggest difference between an Art Stay and an artist residency.
There is no exhibition waiting for you at the end.
No requirement to produce a particular number of paintings.
No proposal or final presentation.
No pressure to turn your stay into a career milestone.
If, during your time here, you decide that you would like to develop your work towards an exhibition or another professional opportunity, you are completely free to pursue that independently with galleries or organisations outside the studio.
My role is to provide the space, materials, creative companionship and intuitive art guidance. I don't organise exhibitions or represent artists from the Hideaway.

This may suit you if:
• you've been wanting to return to painting but haven't had the time or space
• you're curious about intuitive painting and want an extended period to explore it
• you already have a creative practice but feel it has become disconnected from everyday life
• you are between projects and want somewhere to focus for a while
• you want to spend a season making art without having to turn it immediately into a product, portfolio or exhibition
• you simply want to experience living somewhere differently while giving yourself permission to makeYou don't need to be a professional artist.
You also don't need to arrive with a fully formed project.
You can arrive with an intention, a question, an idea, or simply the feeling that you want to paint.
